I have finished all I can as the deadline is in a few hours.
Cup of tea, cigarette and sleep is on the cards
reblogI have been editing what I can with the footage I have. I feel it looks mediocre but there is not a lot I can do now as the race is nearly over.
I just hope I can make this properly in the future and give it justice.
I have learnt a lot from this module in terms of learning of different innovative techniques also how to not time things badly as they will result in unfinished pieces.
Fingers crossed it all goes ok as I jumped over this last bloody hurdle!
reblogDue to being ill I haven’t been able to do anymore filming. Time is running out and I will have to make do with the two characters I have already filmed. I will just have to give in my work unfinished as it looks way too amateur at the moment and it is embarassing to hand in a piece of work that isn’t your best but I do not have the time anymore.
Seeing as I cannot make it interactive I am going to have to just show the samples of the buttons and show the different options as if that is what it would look like if it was interactive.
There is never enough time in the world….even with an extension

Did some filming today and this is how the structure came out.
The picture at the bottom is to show the option being chosen and from there on up is a still frame from the clip and the story board picture.
reblogI found this an animated game online, which is actually an interactive story and was useful to me for research as it was sort of similar to the idea I have.
The idea is to go to a couple’s flat who are obviously having relationship issues. You type in questions and speak to them as if they are real as they react to most questions and understand most words. The initial idea of the game is to help them but instead most people just type in inappropriate questions or phrases.
This goes back to my point about me making more crude options in my interactive piece because that is all that people seem to want.

reblogI have always had a soft side and admiration for dogma style. The films just seem so raw and open it is like wearing your heart on your sleeve…almost.
In Lars Von Triers’s ‘The Idiots’ (1998) it shows humans in their purest form, no make-up or special Hollywood lighting has tried to cover up the real story. What you see is what you get.
Similarly in Thomas Vinterberg’s ‘Festen’ (1998) it deals with family problems in a very realistic way. We feel like we are involved but are not idolising it because it is real life. And there is no escaping the real world, no matter how hard Hollywood or any other mainstream cinema tries to show their portrayal of the real world.
I would like to use aspects from the Dogma style to involve in my piece. I think it would really add to the cynisism and evoke a lot of the same feelings I had when I watched these films. That of a sense of realism and wonder.

reblogSo I have been thinking about the different options for each coloured character to have. I want them to have about five options each in order to get a larger variety and to well basically because of quantity.
So far I have…
Vomiting
Shouting
Smoking
Pulling hair
Throwing food
Putting on make-up
Throwing water
Licking
Biting
Cutting hair
Cutting clothes
I wanted to base most of the ideas around cruelty, abuse and claustrophobia. This is basically to show my feelings of the way the industry is making me/ other people feel about living in their own skin.

This is a sketch of how the selection menu will look for when the player choses the character they want to become.
They will be standing in a green open space at a high angle shot.
Each colour represents one of the four primary emotions
Green: Fear
Red: Anger
Blue: Sadness
Yellow: Happy
I chose these associated emotions with the colours because statistically that is what people feel when they look at each individual colour.
Although the character will not react specifically to their emotion, it will determine the way in which the player choses the character and how they will react to their actions.
reblog
So this is the beginning of my story board.
It shows the Red and Green characters stood in the simple scene setting as described in the treatment. The blue boxes on either side of them is to represent the button options for each character to retaliate against the other. The player clicks which action they would like to see.
